[Note: I came back after posting and saw several lame typos. Kudos to Substack for providing the basic editorial guidance.]
I started the Reviewer.TV site today. Again.
I did it before a while ago but hadn’t undeveloped it yet due to undeveloped video editing skills. Adobe Premier Pro kept freezing up when on my previous “budget” laptop. But now that I bought a $1500 Dell gamer machine it’s lighting fast. So I stitched together a string of clips I shot last night at the Open Mike Comedy Night at Queen Bee’s in North Park. I’ll post the video here and have got to add that I’m happy as can be with how easy a 16 gig RAM machine responds to every task asked of it, small or large.
I was, until two months ago, under the belief that a laptop was a laptop and all that mattered was cost. Saving money was the thing. Yeah, duh, not so. Getting what you pay for is the thing.
Here’s the initial Professional Style YouTube post for Reviewer TV, over an hour long of chronologically linked clips and including a bright watermark in the upper right corner that I kept at 100% opacity in this video because hey I could finally include a watermark. In later videos I’ll reduce it to 50% transparency or so. Enjoy!
The intro is a bit muddy (still learning, hey) so you can skip to the 2-minute mark if you want in order to get to the performers.
