Audio-lag comparison

I noticed a severe audio delay when shooting the previous blog post with my Handycam. In this video I compare its output against my Samsung S25 handset.

The first half of this video is the part that’s washed-out under the fluorescent light of my desk and it’s shot with my new cellphone, the S25 by Samsung.

The second half is with the better color resolution and detail, but unfortunately there’s a bad audio lag that I’d like to correct. It was made with my Sony HDR-CX675 9.2 Handycam. The thing is a workhorse with a huge storage capacity and, as you can see, superior image capability. So I really need to fix this audio lag problem.

It doesn’t seem to do it upon creation of the video file. But to format the clip into an MP4 for upload to Substack, as well as add a watermark (which I’m sort of insistent on) it needs to be processed in Adobe Premier CC. That’s when the flaw in the audio appears.

Gotta get a team of techs on this bad boy.
