Here’s a 3-segment video that shows the aftermath and documents the high-water marks of the January 2024 flood at K Street Kreative in San Diego. It was all shot shortly after the waters receded and lots of the building tenants came and were in shock trying to comprehend the immensity of the event. Keep in mind this is San Diego where the weather is always sunny and mild, 72 degrees Fahrenheit, and cloudless — usually. Brushfires happen, disastrously sometimes, but where K Street Kreative is located is far removed from the local suburban canyons and hillsides prone to such infernos. No one expected anything like this.
Demetrius suggested I fill out a claim with FEMA because the president declared last month’s flood a federal disaster. So there may be some compensation for me and others affected by this gnarly Act Of God. The FEMA rep came today and interviewed me at the site, which is rehabbed now by the way, and ready to move back into. I had just called their 800 number two days ago. So FEMA was on it quick. The K Street Kreative krew did a fine job too. 5 weeks to recover from destruction, re-drywall, and paint is not too bad.
So anyways, enjoy the show.
